Ms Munira HUMOUD

 

 

Ms Munira Humoud is the Executive Director of the Zanzibar National Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture (ZNCCIA) starting from July 2012 with overall responsibility of providing institutional leadership to guide the activities of ZNCCIA and endeavor to provide support services to business community ZNCCIA is currently undergoing changes aiming at addressing institutional capacity needs to be an effective representative of the private sector to dialogue with the government to implement reforms particularly in the legal and regulatory frameworks through advocacy.

Ms Munira Humoud previous employment include:

  • Desk Officer for bilateral and multilateral agencies in the Ministry of Finance (1995-2000)
  • Managing Director to Zanzibar International Film Festival (2000-2005. 
  • Coordinator to women empowerment programme  (2006- To date)
  • Program Analyst in UNDP (August 2006 – March 2008)
  • Trainer/Business Development services to ZNCCIA targeted entrepreneurs since 2009.

Ms Munira has undertaken various training in Finance Management , Aid Management , Project Monitoring,  Investment Appraisal, Entrepreneurial Development and Business Service Provider, as follows:

  • Feasibility Study and Business Plan for Pearl Farmers in Zanzibar, Kilwa and Mafia (2010)

  • Governance and Gender Responsive Capacity Assessment (2011)
  • Survey of Branding of Zanzibar Local Products (2011).

Ms Munira is a holder of an MSc degree in Community Economics from the University of New Hampshire in 2005 and has a diploma from the Institute for Development Management (Mzumbe University).
