The global production of ceramic tile industry is 11913 million sqm out of which India’s share is 1820 million sqm. Morbi, the ceramic cluster of India, started way back in 1994 and is presently the second largest ceramic manufacturing cluster of the world with over 950 manufacturing units of making floor tiles, wall tiles along with sanitary ware products thereby supplying to 90% of Indian demand and 15% of global demand. The cluster represents a turnover of USD 4.25 billion.

The Ceramix Conclave & Expo team has been actively connected with the cluster since 2016. During the first edition of Vibrant Ceramics Expo in 2016, they witnessed over 600 delegates from across the world and out of which 15 were from Kenya. In the second edition in 2017, they had a foot fall of over 2000 international delegates, out of which 40 were from Kenya. Now, after the 2 extremely successful editions, they had come up with the 3rd edition of it, rebranded as Ceramix Expo 2019 in Gujarat (India) from 21st to 24th November 2019.

The East African Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture (EACCIA) led a delegation from the East African Community member states, including Kenya, where they witnessed and became part of world’s biggest expo of finished goods. The exhibition showcased the latest trends and designs in the ceramic industry and also provided a platform to network with the other importers/distributors from over 100+ countries, creating an opportunity for a cross country trade.
